2020 Amoise Syrah, Hawke’s Bay
30% whole bunches were kept for structure and aromatics. During fermentation the tank was foot plunged once a day. This fermented naturally and no additions were made at any time, as with all of the wines! Rested in neutral oak. Only 3 barrels made.
Floral, violets with crunchy red fruit, bramble, dark cherry & cassis with low alcohol and good acidity.
A bit more… The label depicts my six lucky donkeys, who live on the hill across from the vineyard. They have brought me a lot of happiness and good luck throughout the years.
